Aurora ship photos

This is the 2nd time I'm typing this post; I was almost done yesterday, just needed 1 picture and it erased the whole thing. I was most displeased. So let's try this again shall we?
Welcome aboard!

This is a general layout of the boat.

The wheelhouse, complete with a giant steering wheel that isn't actually hooked up to anything yet. 😁 The boat is actually steered by a controller with a few buttons right now. There is a bow thruster that makes the boat go sideways and a propeller and rudder in the back.

This is the front of the boat deck from on top of the wheelhouse

We almost have a bathroom. However when ordering off Amazon sizing isn't always correct lol

The galley. Working sink. And a diesel fueled cast iron stove. Super cool! Probably won't be using it cuz I'm not that good but 🤷🏼‍♀️ who knows. I have videos of the stove working as a heat source I'll have to post!

Dining tables for 20...or for each of my crew to have their own table! 👍

This is one of the holds. They currently all look like this. We plan to split them all in half and make 2 bedrooms with en-suite baths in each half. Maybe an entertainment rooms for the VR in the front. They are all currently separate with access from stairs in the deck. We will cute thru the steel walls and make a hallway on 1 side so they connect. Add some portholes too. Their current lighting is prisms in the ceiling.

The engine room. I know nothing about the engine yet but I'll find out and post later when I post the boat stats.
The hot water heater and septic tank are in here as well. The diesel fuel tanks and the water storage tanks and in the floor of the captains cabin.

John hard at work.

Life jackets for days!

Dan's hard work drilling thru the steel walls to add plumbing. The special bit didn't hold up well!

But he made it thru

His handy plumbing

And a connection so we can hook up to public water to fill the giant water tanks in the boat... everything is giant with this boat/ship! 🚢

The guy who welded the boat signed it! 🙂

I'm going to do a post with boat stats and one with it's facinating history as well.
